Shell Game of the Week: Rush Limbaugh
Uh oh, revelation coming … Rush Limbaugh is a blow-hard that will say whatever he can get away with to incite his rabid fan base.
Without a doubt, he was wrong to call “that woman” a slut, as it is wrong for anyone *cough*Bill Maher*cough* to call a woman a twat, cunt, or bitch. But let’s get real here, if Bill Maher does it, it’s comedy right? If Howard Stern has stripers licking each other and orgasming on the radio, it’s ok because he’s not a serious person, but Rush is the face of conservativism!
Breaking News: Rush is not serious either. He’s an entertainer.
If his entire audience was made up of only conservatives (which it is not), it would make up about 20% of registered Republicans. 20 percent sounds like a lot, until you realize that it really means that 80 percent don’t give a rat’s ass what he has to say.
So the loud minority get all hot-and-bothered by it and demand boycotts and payback and half-assed apologies while we continue two wars, keep Gitmo open, drive up gas prices, wage war on choice when it doesn’t fit our politically correct world view, and suckle the teat of America dry.
All while the zombie masses nod their heads and retweet the latest OWS meme while they numb themselves to the realities of the world with a rerun of Jersey Shore.
I’m late to the party with this, but as a proponent of discourse and as a parent this saddens me. You may not have agreed with his views, but their is no denying his influence on the conservative movement and new-media journalism alike.
This feels staged, but either way it’s premise is still spot on. Hypocrisy is funny.
The Hypocrisy of Choice in Liberal America
Despite what the New York Times and every liberal lemming tells you, the majority of Republicans are not misogynists, bigots and racists. (Just as all Democrats are not tolerant humanitarians.) They are not trying to deny women’s rights. Particularly, their right to choose medical care providers.
The ultra-liberal left wants us to believe that one choice is more righteous than another choice.
You should be able to oppose religion publicly, but not practice it. You should believe in the scientifically unprovable climate change, but not that silly God stuff. Rally angrily against mythical money mongers and you’re a patriot, but don’t protest peacefully against the unsustainable spending of our government you racist bigot.
A woman should have the right to choose to kill an unborn child (and in some cases post-birth) for any reason, but the religious “nutbags” of the world should NOT have the right to choose to oppose this practice, and should not be allowed to choose to abstain from participation in what they consider murder.
News Flash: Fairness is not solely the domain of Democrats and Liberals.
That said, fairness is also not equality. Fairness is when all ideas are available and objectively evaluated free from bias and injustice. When no one is persecuted for their beliefs or forced to conform to the pressures of the loud minority.
I fully understand the desire of a civilized society taking care of it’s own, but this piece exposes a major flaw in the forthcoming Healthcare mandates which puts both parties under duress. According to hundreds of years of precedent, both parties have to be competent and willing to agree to the terms. Therefore, duress nullifies the contracts.
A year ago, Ohio ranked 48th in job creation. We trailed only Michigan and California in lost jobs – Michigan, the home of the auto industry that was devastated, and California, of course, filled by a bunch of wackadoodles.

I keep seeing that women spend $600 or so a year on contraceptives so they should get if for free
If contraceptives are a right and women should get them for free I just have one question.
Since I have the right to bear arms, where is my free gun?
I spend way more than $600 a year on fire arms. Since it is a right, shouldn’t I get one for free?
There is a big difference between free hand outs and out right banning something. No one running wants to ban contraceptives. They just don’t want the government to mandate business to give them out for free.

So disappointing that all we got was occupy wall street and some worthless GM stock.
Ron Paul is right: Social issues are a loser in the election
Recently, Ron Paul was on CNN’s State of the Union, where he basically said that social issues are stupid to talk about and that it makes the GOP candidates look like they are stuck in some homo-phobic version of the Truman show. Or something. I may be paraphrasing.
But the point should be made that standing at the front of the room and banging the drum about pro-life anti-gay positions may get the hard-liners on your side, but come general election time, those positions are going to kill whoever makes it out of the primaries with their balls semi in tact.
The hard-liner religious far right, are keenly aware that the Obama-ites are baby-killing sodomites and they are going to vote for you because maybe, just maybe, they won’t find out later that you had some gay affair with a staffer for the past 10 years. So why get so fired up and give so much ammo to the Dems? They WILL use it against you.
The swing voters (translation: independents and moderates) are not going to want to align themselves with someone who is going to make them look like they want their gay coworkers and friends to get back in the closet and shut up about it already. ”We’ve had enough Glee for one lifetime okay? It’s not even that good of a show!”
Anyway, this country is in trouble. And it’s not the gay’s that are sucking the economy dry, and aborted babies are not causing everyday folks to walk away from their mortgages. So let’s get a little perspective on the role of the President and focus on what is going to change the big-government nanny-state agenda the has us heading into a Greece-inspired nosedive. Then we’ll at least have a country where we can argue about the social issues.
